Printing: Shared Accounting

Here is a summary of what you'll see relating to departmental chargebacks on devices when printing on campus-owned devices, using Multi-Function Devices (MFDs) or submitting jobs to Web Print.

Printing from a UWRF-Managed Workstation

The PaperCut software installed on your workstation provides a summary of the document, the selected printer, the cost to print the document and an additional chance to cancel a unintended print job.

Selecting an Account at the MFD

Starting with the PaperCut 19 release, account selection is now available at the device for print jobs if the account pop-up doesn't appear or if the pop-up is not completed on the workstation. This functionality only applies to the campus Konica Minolta MFDs; HP laser printers do not have this functionality.

Jobs that do not yet have an account assigned will have a message: Account needed.

Tap the arrow button to the right of the job name and tap the pencil icon (outlined in red below) to select an account.
