Though a PDF can be opened in a browser window, not all of the features may be available. Most PDF forms cannot be completed and saved while hosted in a web browser (Disregard messages to download a different version of a PDF reader.)
Solution
A PDF should be downloaded to the computer and opened using Adobe Acrobat DC or Adobe Reader. (The latter offers limited features. For example, links may not work.)
Downloading a PDF
- Right click on the link
- Firefox/Chrome: choose save link as; Microsoft: choose save target as
- Choose the destination where you would like the file to be saved
- Open Adobe Reader or Acrobat
- Choose file and open the downloaded PDF
- Complete the PDF form and save
Note: You can download Adobe Reader DC to your campus computer from the Software Center (Windows) or Self Service (macOS).
