Are you a new or returning student? We’ve got you covered! Here is a list of our most requested student technology resources.
Phones, Computers and Tablets
- Connect to the (encrypted) eduroam wireless network by using your Falcon Account e-mail and password for any personal computers
Gaming Consoles, Streaming Devices, etc.
Falcon Account
- Often, you will log into systems using your Falcon Account.
- Part of the log in process is secondary authentication. We use Okta at UWRF.
Okta Multi-Factor Authentication
- UWRF requires multi-factor authentication on our accounts. This means not just using a password, but also using a secondary device like a cellphone.
- There are two ways to setup Okta, the first is just using a cell phone, the second is setting up the Okta Verify application on a laptop (we recommend setting up on your laptop in order to enroll multiple devices).
ID Card
- Canvas is UWRF’s Learning Management System (LMS). The dashboard is the first thing you will see when you log into Canvas. The dashboard helps you see what is happening in all your current courses. You can return to your dashboard at any time by selecting the dashboard link in the global navigation. Get started!
- eSIS is UWRF’s student information system: Access course schedules, grades, and other information related to your status at UWRF.
- UWRF is a Microsoft Campus. As a UWRF student, you are licensed to use the Microsoft Office 365 suite. With the licensing of Office 365, you can download and install the desktop applications associated with Microsoft's Office 365 suite to a maximum of 5 devices.
- Students have access to Kaltura Capture (desktop recorder) and Kaltura MediaSpace (video hosting).
- Students also have access to other software.
- You will want to make sure you aren't bringing devices to campus which may be configured to illegally obtain and share copyrighted material. For more information on UW acceptable use policies affecting technology, see...
