Microsoft Office 365: Apps

Office 365 provides students, faculty, and staff with the enterprise-grade communication and productivity services they need with the power and flexibility our institution requires. What follows are a list of available applications in the Office 365 app launcher. The list of apps will vary depending on the user group.

The following apps are fully supported by DoTS*

Outlook on the web: The basic Office 365 email application.

OneDrive for Business: Cloud-based storage for all of your files. Always have the latest version of your files accessible from any PC/Mac computer, iOS, Android or Windows device. All users are provided with 1 TB of storage space and can share their files with anyone.

People: This is where you can create and store personal contacts and where you can view address books that have been set up for the university.

Tasks: Use your Tasks folder to keep track of things that you need to do but don’t necessarily want to put on your calendar.

OneNote: A digital notebook that automatically saves and synchronizes your notes.

Calendar: Lets you create and track appointments and meetings. You can create multiple calendars, link to other people’s calendars, and even share your calendar with other people at UWRF.

Teams are chat-based workspaces which provide collaboration tools for teams of people.

Word, Excel, PowerPoint: Online versions of the popular Microsoft Office products.

*Other Microsoft apps are not supported by DoTS but are made available to use on an incidental or exploratory basis by students, faculty and staff.
