Microsoft Office 365: Slow Boot / Old Programs Opening on on Macs

  1. Fully close out of all Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and left-click on your desktop. Go up to your menu, select Go, and then Computer.

  1. When Finder appears, select Macintosh HD. Once inside, search "MicrosoftRegistrationDB.reg" - a file of that name should pop up. Move this file to your trash and then empty the trash.

  1. Once finished, open Word and log in. Your office programs should launch quicker.
