Equipment: Support at End of Life

Support for computers and software applications past their useful life is limited.* We realize that there are budget limitations to replace hardware and software.

Hardware Support

Computing devices that are over 5 years old may have issues with drivers, antivirus software, patches, updates and may not be compatible with enterprise systems.
Systems that are determined to be a security risk are to be removed from the network.

Software Support

Once a manufacturer has identified that support will be ending for a particular product, we work with you to develop a replacement plan.


*When a product is determined end of life, DoTS offers Best Effort Support. Best Effort Support is taking reasonable measures to try to resolve issues. DoTS may recommend that replacement of hardware or software is the best course of action.
