
DoTS does not provide semester-long laptop checkouts. If you have a programmatic need for a laptop, please note the following options:
- DoTS and individual colleges maintain computer labs with much of the required academic software installed (Virtual Lab)
- Work with your instructor to identify an appropriate solution.
- Contact Financial Aid, which may be able to assist with computer-related expenses for eligible students.
DoTS provides these commonly requested items for short term checkout to students, faculty, and staff. If you have long-term needs, you (or your department) may need to purchase instead. Availability is not guaranteed.

- Equipment availability is not guaranteed
- An active Falcon Account is required to check out equipment
- Equipment checkout is limited to 5 business days
- These are Internet-only devices. Do not save any data to the computers, Chromebook or iPads. Data should be saved to OneDrive or other online storage.
- Equipment must be returned to the DoTS Service Center before or on the day specified
- Equipment not returned to DoTS will be reported as Lost/Stolen to University Police
- Equipment not returned by employees will be charged back to the requesting individuals primary departmental account
