Select Konica Minolta Multi-Function Devices (MFD) and some campus HP laser printers have been configured for print release via a mobile device as an alternative to touching the device. Devices with this functionality enabled are listed in our Printer Locations article under the "Mobile Release" column.
Submitting a Job
Submit a print job via either Web Print or the PrintAnywhere queues mapped on a UWRF workstation. Note: The rate displayed in either of these messages reflects the rate for the Konica Minolta MFD printers on campus. The HP laser devices have different rates, which can be found here.
Releasing a Job
- On the front of the printer there is a sticker with a QR code and a release URL. Scan* the QR code with your mobile device or visit the URL on the bottom of the label to access the release page for the device.
- Log in with your Falcon Account when prompted
- Check the box next to the job you'd like to release and tap the Release button. The job prints on the printer.
*If you do not have a device that is capable of scanning a QR code, visit the web address listed under the QR code to release jobs on that printer.
