Canvas: Kaltura Capture macOS 26 Tahoe Error

Kaltura support has advised that there is a delay upgrading to macOS 26 Tahoe. While Kaltura Capture technical requirements state that the minimum macOS is macOS 15 or higher, Kaltura Support states that macOS 26 (Tahoe) is not officially supported for Kaltura Capture due to differences in frame rates. Users who have upgraded to macOS 26 may need to use the instructions in this knowledge base article to embed Kaltura content in Canvas.

  1. Create and upload your media using Kaltura Capture.
  1. In Canvas, click Account → My Media.
  1. Click on the media to open it, then click Share.

  1. Copy the Embed Code.

 

  1. Open your Canvas course. Create or edit a Page, then click Insert → Embed.

  1. Paste the embed code
  2. Click Submit
  3. Save and publish the page.
