Kaltura support has advised that there is a delay upgrading to macOS 26 Tahoe. Kaltura Support has advised that there is a known delay in supporting macOS 26 (Tahoe). While the Kaltura Capture technical requirements list macOS 15 or later as the minimum supported version, Kaltura Support has confirmed that macOS 26 (Tahoe) is not yet officially supported due to differences in frame rates.
Until Kaltura Capture is fully compatible with macOS 26 (Tahoe), users should create media content using an alternate method. One option is Microsoft Teams: Recording and Sharing a Video. Recordings created in Microsoft Teams can be uploaded to My Media by clicking Add New → Media Upload.
Users who have upgraded to macOS 26 may also need to use the instructions in this knowledge base article to embed content created by Kaltura Capture in Canvas.
- Create and upload your media using Kaltura Capture.
- In Canvas, click Account → My Media.
- Click on the media to open it, then click Share.

- Copy the Embed Code.
- Open your Canvas course. Create or edit a Page, then click Insert → Embed.

- Paste the embed code
- Click Submit
- Save and publish the page.
