ScreenCasting as an Accessibility Accommodation

Student accommodations are available through the Disability Resource Center

  • Students view content on their own device in real-time, as it appears on the instructor’s primary display or screen
  • Information is synced instantly to the student’s device, no need to print or email presentation materials
  • Students can use their preferred magnification/accessibility tools for easier viewing

In-Classroom Setup:

  1. Disability Resource Center issues a URL and code specific to the classroom (to both instructor and student)
  2. Instructor connects to the room using standard ScreenCasting instructions
  3. Student uses DRC-provided URL to connect, accept any warnings and proceed with connection
  4. Student clicks "View in WebView" in lower left-hand corner of browser
  5. Enters DRC-provided code to connect
  6. When finished, close the browser
