ScreenCasting in the Classrooms/Conference Rooms
We’re excited to introduce a new casting technology in many of our classrooms, including classrooms in the new Science and Technology Building. This updated system enables quick, browser-free screen sharing using a simple keystroke, making it easy for both instructors and students to connect.
The technology supports multiple simultaneous connections and can serve as an accessibility aid for students with impairments or special needs. With advance notice the room can be configured to allow for an individual student to view the screencast on a local computer.
The rollout begins in 66 classrooms across campus, including the majority of rooms in the Science and Technology Building. As part of this update, we’ll be removing most of the older legacy wireless ShareLink systems.

Mac Computer Labs: Update
A number of our Mac Labs have aged past their support dates and will be removed. The usage did not warrant replacements either by academic departments or Technology Services. The following Mac computer labs are being updated:
- Wymann Education Building: Macs in the open area (WEB 130) to be removed. The collaboration stations will remain.
- Davee Library: Open area of the Library Macs (DL 200) to be removed. 10 PCs to remain, collaboration stations and Kiosks to remain.
- Centennial Science Hall: Psychology Statistics Lab to be removed from several rooms in CSH.
- Kleinpell Fine Arts:
- KFA 284 Modern Language Lab removed.
- KFA B101: Art Lab Macs removed.
