Security: Admin by Request - Access Denied
Security: Admin by Request - Access Denied
There are two different "access denied" messages you could see from Admin by Request:
If you see "Execution of this application as administrator is denied by policies," this is something you are not allowed to elevate (such as a system file). If this is something you need to be able to run, please
contact DoTS
.
If you see "Only the owner of this device can perform the operation," that means you are not the owner or primary user of the device in Admin by Requests records. If you are indeed the owner of the device, please
contact DoTS
to have the issue corrected.
If you have a shared device on which multiple people will need admin (such as a research machine), please
contact DoTS
.
