Okta Biometric or Hardware Token Request

If you would like to use your computer's Biometric feature or a hardware token as your sole multi-factor option you will need to contact the Division of Technology Services to have your account granted access to the feature.

Notes

  • You are able to add a biometric or token option on your own following initial setup of Okta using the standard options, this will not require a request to DoTS. See Okta Multi-Factor Authentication: Setup for New Users
  • Biometric: Both Windows Hello and Apple's Face ID or fingerprint ID will work for Biometric options
  • Hardware token: FIDO 2 Keys are recommended and need to be plugged into the USB port of the computer you are using
    • Tokens are not provided and need to be purchased by the customer using standard technology merchants
