Configuring Okta Multifactor for the first time

We recommend configuring your phone from the Okta Verify interface found in Settings at myapps.uwrf.edu but you can configure from a device using the following instructions

  1. Install the Okta Verify App on your mobile device
  2. Open the app and tap "Get Started." Then tap "Add Account".
  3. Select the “Organization (work, school, company)” account type
  4. Select “Skip” if you don’t have another device set up already
  5. Select “No, Sign In Instead”
  6. Enter “myapps.uwrf.edu” as the Organization Sign-in URL and tap “Next”
  7. Log in with your Falcon account credentials when prompted
  8. After logging in, select the option to enable confirmation when prompted
  9. Tap “Done” on the success message

Adding Additional Devices

  1. Visit myapps.uwrf.edu
  2. Select Name --> Settings
  3. Scroll down to Security Methods --> Click the Setup button under Okta Verify OR Security Key or Biometric
  4. Follow the on-screen prompts to configure the additional device

 

Okta Desktop App

This option is only available for Students and Emeriti
  1. Download Okta Verify desktop app (Windows Link | Mac Link)
  2. Select "I agree to the License terms and conditions" click install.
  3. Click "Get Started"
  4. Click "Next"
  5. You should see a text box appear, enter "myapps.uwrf.edu".
  6. A web browser will open a sign in page, enter credentials. 

Removing Duo

To remove Duo from your account follow these instructions:

  1. Go to myapps.uwrf.edu
  2. Click on your name in the top right corner and select Settings
  3. Under Security Methods for the option you wish to remove, click the remove button.
