Issue: When attempting to log into a campus Konica Minolta MFD, the card reader beeps but the device does not log in. It remains on the "Username and Password" input screen.
Environment: Konica Minolta MFD, multi-function device, printer, copier, scanner, campus ID card
Resolution: Power cycle the MFD. This is achieved by switching off the master power switch. On some models, this is a gray rocker switch on the right side of the device near the back. On other models, it is behind the front panel typically next to the waste toner cartridge. Note: the "power" button below the display does NOT turn off the device; it simply puts it into a deep sleep mode. Turn the master power switch back on and once the device boots up, attempt to log in with your card again. If the device still does not read your ID card, please contact DoTS for service.
