Microsoft Office 365: Forwarding Email to a Personal Account (Open Records)

Please be aware, email messages forwarded from faculty, staff and student staff (-work@uwrf.edu) UW-River Falls email accounts to personal (@my.uwrf.edu, @gmail.com, etc.) email accounts are potentially subject to litigious search and State of Wisconsin Open Records law. You should also consider your obligations of protecting student privacy under the FERPA rules. The university may be required to compel you to comply with the release of information stored in your personal email accounts or on your personal devices should you choose to utilize them to conduct university business.
