Beginning mid-August 2025 all university issued Macs will prompt the user for required operating system updates. These will show-up as pop-ups. There may be a deferral window, but eventually the pop-ups will persists until updates are complete. You will be required to provide credentials to install any available updates.
The process goes something like this:

- You will another pop-up when updates complete
