Email Address Change
DoTS changes your email address after your name changes officially with the university. Here is where you start...
- Student Preferred Name Change (Part of this process it to have your email address changed so you don't need to request it from DoTS.)
- Student Legal Name Change (Once your name has changed with the university, you can then request your email address be changed.)
- Employee Preferred Name Change: Make the change in Workday under Personal Information. Refer to Preferred Name Change Knowledgebase. Once your name has changed with the university, you can then request your email address be changed.
- Employee Legal Name Change: Make the change in Workday under Personal Information. Refer to Legal Name Change Knowledgebase. You must provide Human Resources with proof of your legal name change. After providing HR with proof of name change, you can then request your email address be changed.
HR also contacts DoTS when your affiliation changes (e.g., you are no longer a student, but you are now an employee) to have your email address changed (e.g., my.uwrf.edu to uwrf.edu) - so you don't need to request it from DoTS.
