Our standard warranty coverage does not include accidental damage (eg: drops, coffee spills, etc.). If you'd like to obtain full coverage, your department will need to fund it. It also delays the delivery of your laptop.
If you do have an accident (no shame)
- General Program Revenue (GPR) funded, the university's computer rotation fund will cover half the cost of a replacement for the first "offense". Your department is responsible to cover the other half and 100% of subsequent accidents.
- Program Revenue (PR) Departments are 100% responsible for PR-funded computers, even for the first accident.
