As part of our ongoing classroom updates, the Department of Technology Services (DoTS) is phasing out the majority of aging classroom PCs across campus, many of which are eight years or older. During this process, we are replacing these PCs with confidence monitors and ensuring all necessary adapters are readily available. Faculty/student laptops can connect to the equipment using HDMI or adapter connections. Furthermore, most classroom technology is accessible wirelessly.
The following classrooms are having updated teaching PCs installed. If a classroom is not listed below, the PC is being removed Summer 2024:
- AGS 114
- AGS 200
- CSH 271
- NH 222
- WEB 113
- WEB 116
- WEB 117
- WEB 119
- WEB 120
- WEB 129
The following computer labs are also being updated:
- DL 161 is being converted into a classroom space and PCs will be removed. DL 162 will maintain its Macs.
- DL 162 is having Mac workstations updated to a newer model
- DL 164 is undergoing rotation with new computers and faculty with specific lab-only software needs will receive priority scheduling.
- DL 200 is having the number of PCs reduced and will retain all Macs.
- DL 331 is having its PCs rotated.
- KFA B61 is having the Mac computer removed as the department is no longer using them.
- NH 320 is being simplified into a standard teaching classroom.
- WEB 130 is having the PCs removed but will retain all Macs.
