UWRF supports logging into Google Workspace for Education services using your Falcon Account. This enables you to use many Google services such as Google Drive, Gemini, Notebook LM, Google Calendar and YouTube with your Falcon account and associated UWRF e-mail address. Google Mail (gmail) is NOT enabled because we use Microsoft M365 email at UWRF.
Google Workspace for Education is available to the UWRF community to facilitate collaboration with other institutions who use the Google Workspace platform. It is also supported for exploratory use by faculty and staff. Students may use Google Workspace for Education as an additional platform for collaboration.
DoTS will make a best effort to assist with Google login issues using your Falcon account but help with Google Workspace for Education offerings is very limited. Information stored on Google Workspace for Education is not backed up by DoTS. If a file is deleted on Google Workspace, DoTS has no way to recover the file.
The university's fully supported cloud collaboration platform is Microsoft M365 and it should be used as the primary tool for UWRF functional and business use.
