UWRF supports logging into most Google Apps / G Suite services using your Falcon Account. This enables you to use Google services such as Google Drive, Google Calendar and YouTube with your Falcon account and associated UWRF e-mail address. Google Mail is NOT accessible with your Falcon account due to the conflict with your Office 365 Mail. We do not anticipate support for Google Mail in the future. Best effort is made to assist with login issues but help with usage and setup of Google Apps offerings is very limited.
Google Apps for Education / G Suite is accessible to the UWRF community to facilitate collaboration with other institutions or stakeholders who are already using the Google Apps / G Suite platform. It is also supported for exploratory use by faculty and staff. Students may use Google Apps / G Suite at their discretion as an alternate platform for collaboration, while UWRF employees must use Microsoft Office 365 or other fully supported services if initiating the collaboration.
The university's preferred cloud collaboration platform is Microsoft Office 365 and it should be used as the primary platform for UWRF operational and business use cases. University business needs to be conducted through officially procured systems to be compliant with UW Information Security policies. Google Apps / G Suite has not been officially procured for use at UW-River Falls.
