This process will allow you to register your device and connect to the UWRF-Welcome network.
Laptops, phones, and tablets should always connect directly to eduroam using your falcon account email address and password.
- Before your device will work on UWRF-Welcome without being subject to UWRF-Welcome network restrictions, it will need to have its wireless MAC address registered via the My Devices Portal. (You may have already completed this step.)
- Once registered, open your device's wireless network settings and scan for available Wi-Fi networks and then select UWRF-Welcome.
- Your device should connect. If you continue to have issues please contact DoTS
- If your device is capable of saving multiple networks, please "forget" UWRF-Registered to avoid connection issues.

Why is this necessary?
We have unfortunately uncovered an issue related to our software upgrade over the summer. We are working with the vendor on a permanent solution. In the meantime we have developed this workaround in the event you are having issues connecting your device to UWRF-Registered.
UWRF-Welcome is an open, un-secure network and should only be used for gaming consoles, streaming devices etc. that are having issues connecting to UWRF-Registered.
