Web Authoring Help

Introduction

The DoTS Web team trains and assists web authors with technically publishing web content and site navigation. The Web team can provide guidance with using the features within the CommonSpot content management system (CMS). Using the recommendations and guidelines developed by the UWRF Web Working Group, the Web team helps authors to effectively communicate with their audience. 

Content related assistance and determination of appropriateness and relevance of information posted on the web site is determined by University Communications and Marketing staff. 

Benefits

• Authors are informed of effective ways to communicate with their audiences and will be informed of UWRF web development standards. 
• Authors are informed of effective ways to use CommonSpot. 

Available to

• Campus faculty and staff who wish to improve their office's web presence 
• Campus web authors certified to use the CommonSpot Content Management System (CMS)

Service Level Agreement

• The DoTS Web team provides guidance with content development based on the recommendations set by university's web working group and the university branding guidelines.
• The Web team responds to requests for assistance within two business days.
• Following contact, a Web team member will schedule an additional appointment with the customer, if needed.
