Guest Network Login

After pressing the "Request Service" button, enter these (Action > Category > Subcategory > Service):
Request Something DoTS offers > Accounts and Passwords > Other > Guest Network Login

Introduction

Guest login access is available for request by University employees for short-term events (usually less than 7 days long) which require minimal network access, such as access that allows for use of campus computer labs and printing.  All guest network accounts must abide by the Board of Regents Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).

Benefits

  • Access gained to campus resources not available to the general public such as lab login, printing and file access
  • Ability to choose which resources your guest can access
  • Ability to set a start and end date for the visit and in turn the life of the guest account

Service Level Agreement

  • Guest Falcon Accounts are available 24/7 except for planned outages.  Planned outages are posted on the DoTS website.
  • If there is an unplanned outage, DoTS personnel work on the incident during normal business hours and post where we stand in the process on the DoTS website.
  • Once DoTS receives all needed information, the Guest Falcon Account is set up within four business days.

Resources

  • Resources available to guest network logins are usually limited to workstation login access, but may include printing and file access as well depending on the situation.
