Issue: An alarm is sounding from a door on campus.
Environment: area/space/room security alarm (it is loud); an alarm coming from an exterior or stairwell door
Resolution: Determine the location of the door as the appropriate response depends on where the alarm is coming from.
If the alarm is sounding due to an emergency situation regardless of location, call 911.
Otherwise,
- If the alarm is sounding on an emergency exit door of any academic building, contact University Police.
- There is no DoTS shortcut for Davee Library. University Police is the primary contact.
- If the alarm is sounding on an exterior door of a residence hall, contact Facilities Management.
- If Facilities Management is closed, contact University Police.
