Introduction

The Division of Technology Services coordinates the procurement, installation, and maintenance of software in instructional computer labs. Computer software is not carried over from academic year to academic year; only the departmental software requested by the June 1 deadline is included in the updated lab configuration. All software is required to have a current support and maintenance agreement.

Here is a list of software titles (with lab locations) for the upcoming (or most recent, depending on when this list is viewed) academic year.

Service Level Agreement

  • Requesting New and/or Updated Software
    • Faculty members can request new software applications using this online form. 
    • Software must meet all security, feasability and procurement requirements as detailed in the UW System policies.
    • Funding required for applicable software licensing must be identified at the time of the software request. 
    • The deadline to request new software is June 1.
    • Software requested before June 1 are given priority for installation in the computer labs for the following fall term. Software requested after June 1 may not be available at the beginning of the fall term.
    • Only software with a current support/maintenance agreement will be included. DoTS cannot guarantee software without a current support/maintenance agreement will be approved/included for the academic year.
    • DoTS replies to requests for computer lab software within three business days.
