Blocking countries deemed risky
Due to the ever-changing cybersecurity threat landscape, we are now blocking access to the UWRF systems and network from countries deemed as risky. This includes all applications that you need Falcon credentials to access including but not limited to the following:
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft Outlook
- Any Microsoft Application licensed through UWRF
- Workday
- eSIS
- Canvas
- UWRF file shares
If you wish to access UWRF systems and networks from one of these countries, you will need supervisor approval for a business need that requires access to UWRF systems and network while traveling in a country deemed risky. To start the request process, open a service request ticket with a description of international travel. In the long description identify the country or countries you are traveling to, dates, and business need for access to UWRF network. Please attach an email from your supervisor supporting the need for access while traveling.
DoTS will reach out to facilitate the request and provide additional guidance.
