MacOS: Authentication is Disabled Error Message

MacOS updates or other settings changes may give you an "Authentication is Disabled" error message.

  1. Open the Self Service app
  2. Search for Authentication is disabled and click Fix
  3. Enter you new password when prompted
  4. Try running the update or other setting again
