Canvas (Instructors): Downloading Files from Kaltura My Media

You can download your Kaltura media files three different ways if you want a local copy.

Option 1 From Canvas  

1. Log into Canvas
2. Select Account
3. Select My Media
4. Select the media you wish to download
5. Select the download button in the upper right corner of the video

Option 2 From Canvas

1. Log into Canvas
2. Select Account
3. Select My Media
4. Find the media you wish to download
5. Select the name of the media
6. Select the Actions down arrow

7. Choose Edit
8. Choose the Downloads tab
9. Available formats are Source or Small; Choose both Source and Small
10. Select Save
11. Select Go To Media
12. The middle tab should now be Download; select Download
13. The download screen will show the file size. 

14. The download is available in the right column under Actions

From Outside Canvas

1. Go to mediaspace.wisconsin.edu
2. Select Guest
3. Choose My Media
4. Select your campus
5. Log in
6. Follow steps 4-14 above

Note: When you create a video, a local copy is automatically saved.

• Mac in ~/Library/Preferences/Kaltura/Capture/Recordings/
