VMware Horizon Client: Access a USB Drive

The VMware Horizon client is capable of passing USB devices attached to the local computer into the Virtual Machine (VM). This capability is enabled by default on new installations of the Horizon client.

1. Open the Horizon client, log in and select your desktop pool from the available list. Please note, the list of available pools/apps will change based on who you are.

2.  Plug the flash drive into a USB port on your computer. After connecting to the desktop pool, select the Connect USB Device menu in the connection bar at the top of the display.

3.  Select the entry in the drop-down menu for the flash drive and the USB device will install and become available in the VM.
